Daring to cast off - the story of a dream come true
Daring to cast off - the story of a dream come true
Embark on an adventure with Seven Summits Sailing! Enrique, Laura, their daughter Aizea (aged 4) and their faithful dog Bandit left their ‘sedentary’ life behind to live their dream: setting sail on their catamaran Aitayama for a five-year voyage.
You will discover how they prepared for this project for more than five years (from sailing on Lake Geneva to obtaining their offshore licence), how they learned step by step, and how they chose and equipped their boat.
During this conference, you will immerse yourself in their world: sailing in the Mediterranean Sea out of season, wild anchorages, the vagaries of the weather, the balance between the roles of parents, apprentice sailors and explorers, and even teachers.
This conference is an invitation to step outside your comfort zone, to make your dreams come true, to question our relationship with home, as well as the standard school model. An inspiring evening — for lovers of the sea, travel, family challenges and freedom.
Join us on 16 February in Anzère for an extraordinary experience, meet those who set sail to live differently, and leave with ideas, images and perhaps the desire to hoist your own sails.
