Three friends from Valais—Loubna Freih, expedition leader, Mélanie Corthay, mountain guide, and Sophie Pelka, ski mountaineer—embark on an unprecedented challenge: crossing the Alps from Vienna to Monaco by bike, ski, and running.
Driven by a desire to explore in a different way, push their limits, and document the state of Alpine glaciers, they cover more than 1,600 km and climb more than 67,000 m. Along the way, they are joined by other inspiring women: athletes, scientists, guides—all contributing their expertise, energy, and stories. This film follows their progress through the elements, amid intense physical effort, complex logistics, uncertain weather, and daily wonders.
Far from being a simple sporting achievement, their journey tells the story of the strength of the collective, the power of a project led by women, and the desire to raise awareness of environmental issues in the Alps.
Directed by Aurélie Gonin, this documentary offers an intimate and authentic look at a modern expedition where sport, science, and humanity come together.
And we will be lucky enough to have these athletes with us that evening!
