Anzère Climbing Festival - Introduction to Caving
Discover the 3rd edition of the Anzère Climbing Festival, taking place on 11 and 12 July 2026. An event dedicated to the world of climbing, designed to bring together climbing enthusiasts and those simply curious about the sport in an exceptional setting, at the heart of the Valais limestone landscape.
The festival aims to promote the sport of climbing whilst encouraging people to meet, chat and share experiences. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, you’ll find a friendly and festive atmosphere for a weekend full of new discoveries.
On the programme: supervised workshops and courses, film screenings and talks led by guides and experienced climbers. Courses suitable for all levels are available upon registration — feel free to choose the one that best suits your interests. The rest of the programme is free to attend and open to everyone.
Introduction to Caving
Discover a local cave on an introductory caving trip in a small group, led by the Groupe de Spéléologie Rhodanien, a local caving club.
This accessible experience will allow you to explore a spectacular underground environment, with no narrow passages or sections requiring you to crawl on your stomach. The route follows a spacious vertical descent reaching up to 50 metres in depth, with a crossing where you will always be able to see daylight.
